Introduction
This page is a collection of intriguing, mysterious and downright goofy infromation about the (official) Sonic the Hedgehog line of games. It deals with everything from Sonic the Hedgehog on the Master System to Sonic Adventure
on SEGA Dreamcast. It's basically an archive of weird STH data the author has collected since 1998, when Andre Alex Dirk had shown the world his interesting Sonic 2 cartridge. Most of the info here is exclusive unless it was "borrowed" by others. Meaning there is stuff here you won't find anywhere else! The original authors of the finding have been listed where I myself am not the author. |

Sonic the Hedgehog (Page 3)
Let's Go! Although most of the people reading this probably don't do this at regular basis, have you ever taken a look at the first line of Spring Yard Zone's patterns using Genecyst? If you did, you probably noticed a big pile of
vertical and horizontal lines. They don't appear in the game! And if you arrange them in order, you get...
Hmm. Although it is not on that Beta picture above, I remeber seeing this thing in some early Sonic 1 materials...in fact, it looks just like those floating things from Collision Chaos (Sonic CD) Good Future...expect that it means something. Let's Go! This thing would be so much better than the CPU and COPE signs in the final Spring Yard Zone... If you want to see it ingame, go to Tom's Hacking Station. Download a hacked Spring Yard Zone savestate. Die and you'll be taken to Zone Zone. Find it there. ^_^ Sonic 1 Beta Sprites! Gah, you probably saw these before on TMC, but that's just because that pesky Moogle lives in a different time zone and could therefore update sooner than I. Dang. I've got a perfect explanation for all of them. The ones at the top are Sonic going into Special Stage, right below is Sonic unleashing the power of the emeralds (think Sonic 1 GG's good ending), the next one is perhaps Sonic's 'animation' pose (well, beats be, but it reminds me of a pose Sonic does in SA when a FMA plays). The last one is 100% Sonic's infamous 'finished the level' pose. Thanks to Scott Prower for submitting all of these, including the ones below, to me. Well, this one pretty much speaks for itself. To all of you who said that the SCD sprites' spindash looks weird because the Sonic 1 animations didn't have spindash - you were wrong. ^_^ And lookie, no dust! This one, on the other hand, doesn't. It just raises more questions. O_o It is (not-so) obvious that it emerges from Green Hill Zone's night time days...thanks to Stealth for finding it and implenting a palette to it. It is the correct, in-game palette..which makes the find even stranger. What? Picture too small?! Download it and re-size it then. *shrug*. Rahan Akero submitted this one. It looks like it might have appeared in Marble Zone, I dunno... Previous Page - Next Page |
